"Oh no!" shouted Rapunzel, and she fell to the ground and began to cry.

It was Juan. When Rapunzel saw Juan's blind eyes, she knew what to do.
"Stay here," she ordered.
Rapunzel corrió por el bosque para buscar unas hierbas. Las trituró y preparó la medicina. Luego la puso en los ojos de Juan.
Y después volvió a llorar.
Rapunzel ran through the woods to look for some herbs. She ground them and made medicine. Then she put it on Juan's eyes. And then she cried again.
“Por favor, no llores” dijo Juan suavemente. “¿Por qué lloras?”.
“Ya no tengo casa. Mi única amiga ha desaparecido. Tú estás ciego - ¡esto es un lío!”
"Please don't cry..." said Juan softly. "Why are you crying?"
"I don't have a house anymore. My only friend has disappeared. You are blind — this is a mess!"
“Todo estará bien”, dijo Juan. Él sonrió. “Confía en mí — soy un héroe”.
"Everything will be fine," said Juan. He smiled. "Trust me — I'm a hero!"
Por tres días, Rapunzel y Juan acamparon en el bosque. Ella preparó la medicina para los ojos de Juan. Él le contó sobre las veces que había intentado ser un héroe.
For three days, Rapunzel and Juan camped in the forest. She made medicine for Juan's eyes. He told her about the times he'd tried to be a hero:

He had tried to fight a giant, but the giant was so kind that he invited him to tea.

He had tried to kill a dragon. But the dragon had baby dragons in its nest. Juan couldn't do it.
Rescató un gato de un árbol. Pero el gato volvió a subirse inmediatamente.
“¡Es muy difícil ser un héroe!” se quejó.
He rescued a cat from a tree. But the cat climbed back up immediately.
"It's very hard to be a hero!" he complained.
Cuando Rapunzel tenía ganas de llorar, Juan le contaba chistes hasta que ella reía. Cuando no podía dormir, él escuchaba todas sus preocupaciones.
When Rapunzel wanted to cry, Juan would tell jokes until she laughed. When she couldn't sleep, he listened to all her worries.
El cuarto día, cuando Rapunzel se despertó, Juan ya estaba levantado. La miraba con sus ojos azules y brillantes. ¡Podía ver!
“Gracias, mi hermosa amiga”, dijo. “Me has curado los ojos”.
The fourth day, when Rapunzel woke up, Juan was already up. He looked at her with his bright blue eyes. He could see!
"Thank you, my beautiful friend," he said. "You have healed my eyes."
Juan y Rapunzel caminaron hasta el pueblo de Juan. A Rapunzel le gustó el lugar. Juan la ayudó a construir una nueva torre, y esta vez la torre tuvo escaleras. Rapunzel dedicó sus días a preparar medicinas para las personas enfermas del pueblo.
Juan and Rapunzel walked to Juan's town. Rapunzel liked the place. Juan helped her build a new tower, and this time the tower had stairs! Rapunzel spent her days making medicines for the sick people of the town.
